The Cricketers’ Welfare Association of Bangladesh (CWAB) will meet with club officials on Sunday to address the recent boycott of club cricket by several Dhaka-based organisers.

CWAB president Mohammad Mithun confirmed that the players’ body had been seeking discussions with the club organisers for some time, and the meeting has now been scheduled.

The boycott was announced by a number of prominent clubs ahead of the upcoming domestic season, citing concerns over a lack of transparency in the recently concluded Bangladesh Cricket Board election process. The meeting on Sunday is expected to focus on resolving these issues and ensuring the smooth conduct of the domestic campaign.
