Filmmaker and Cultural Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki is receiving treatment at a Dhaka hospital after falling ill during an official visit to Cox’s Bazar.
His wife, actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha, confirmed the news on social media on 16 August, stating that he had become unwell while attending a ministry workshop. Doctors later said the illness was caused by excessive work pressure but assured that he is now out of danger. “Please keep him in your prayers,” she wrote.
According to officials, Farooki suddenly fell ill around 8:00 pm on Saturday at Hotel Ocean Paradise in Cox’s Bazar. He received initial treatment at the hotel before being airlifted to Dhaka at 10:32 pm on medical advice, airport authorities confirmed.
