The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) has revised its CSE50 benchmark on the basis of listed companies’ performance, adding Advanced Chemical Industries, Jamuna Oil Company and Southeast Bank from 22 April.
AB Bank, Power Grid Company of BD and Sonali Paper & Board Mills will leave the index under the half-yearly review, the bourse said in a statement on Thursday.
CSE reviews the CSE50 twice a year.
The revised index represented 74.68 per cent of the exchange’s full market capitalisation as of 31 December 2025, 73.57 per cent of free-float market capitalisation and 34.74 per cent of average daily turnover over the previous six months.
The final basket includes Advanced Chemical Industries, Al-Arafah Islami Bank, Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills, Bangladesh Submarine Cables, Bank Asia, Bangladesh Shipping Corporation, Bangladesh Export Import Company, Beacon Pharmaceuticals and Beximco Pharmaceuticals.
It also includes BRAC Bank, British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company, City Bank, Delta Life Insurance Company, Dutch-Bangla Bank, Eastern Bank, GPH Ispat, Grameenphone and IDLC Finance.
The index also holds IFIC Bank, Islami Bank Bangladesh, Jamuna Bank, Jamuna Oil Company, Khan Brothers PP Woven Bag Industries, Kohinoor Chemical Company (BD), LafargeHolcim Bangladesh, LankaBangla Finance and Marico Bangladesh.
Meghna Petroleum, Mercantile Bank, MJL Bangladesh, Mutual Trust Bank, National Credit & Commerce Bank, Olympic Industries, One Bank, Padma Oil and Prime Bank are also in the benchmark.
The remaining constituents are Pubali Bank, Robi Axiata, Shahjalal Islami Bank, Southeast Bank, Square Pharmaceuticals, Summit Power, The ACME Laboratories, The Premier Bank and Trust Bank.
Unique Hotel & Resorts, United Commercial Bank, United Power Generation & Distribution Co, Uttara Bank and Walton Hi-Tech Industries complete the revised index.
