HBO’s acclaimed teen drama ‘Euphoria’ is finally returning, with Season 3 set to premiere this April, more than four years after the second season finale. Creator Sam Levinson offered fans a glimpse into the characters’ lives, promising one of the series’ most dramatic chapters yet.
Zendaya’s Rue is now in Mexico, grappling with debt and trying to find inventive ways to pay it off. Meanwhile, Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Nate (Jacob Elordi) are engaged and navigating suburban life, with Cassie increasingly consumed by social media. Levinson confirmed, “Cassie and Nate do in fact get married. It will be an unforgettable night.”
Other familiar faces have also evolved. Jules (Hunter Schafer) is pursuing a career in art while avoiding responsibility, Maddy (Alexa Demie) works in a Hollywood talent agency and Lexi (Maude Apatow) has become an assistant to a showrunner played by Sharon Stone.
Season 3 welcomes a host of newcomers, including Rosalía, Trisha Paytas, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Eli Roth and Marshawn Lynch, adding fresh dynamics to the story. Notably, Storm Reid, Austin Abrams, Algee Smith and Barbie Ferreira will be absent. The late Angus Cloud will not return.
Since its debut, Euphoria has been celebrated for its raw portrayal of teenage life, tackling issues such as addiction, sexuality, crime and betrayal. The show has catapulted its young cast to international stardom and remains one of HBO’s most-watched non-fantasy series.
