Chorki’s flash fiction ‘Khub Kacheri Keu’ is set to release in the second week of September, marking the platform’s first foray into this cinematic format.
Speaking about the matter, Chorki CEO Redwan Rony said, “Flash fiction is a cinematic depiction of fleeting moments in life, a slice of life. Though the incidents may seem small, their impact is often profound.”
The project is a joint production between Alpha-i and Chorki, produced by Arafat Mohsin Nidhi, with story, dialogues and screenplay by Raba Khan.
It stars F S Nayeem and Sunerah Binte Kamal. The content will premiere on Chorki at 12:01 am on September 11. Its trailer, released on September 9, carries the caption: “It’s their wedding tomorrow! You are all invited.”
Raba Khan, explaining the story, said that it revolves around young individuals navigating an arranged marriage. Through events leading up to and on the wedding day, they realize that true connections can emerge unexpectedly.
Arafat Mohsin Nidhi, acclaimed composer, lyricist and music director, returns to directing with Khub Kacheri Keu. “This is my second fiction; my first was in 2012. The story focuses on two strangers getting to know each other. It’s a romantic tale that everyone can enjoy,” he said.
Sunerah Binte Kamal plays Zerin, a lively, outspoken and independent character, while F S Nayeem portrays Rakin.
“The dialogues between the young and the old reflect real-life experiences, though everyone experiences them differently. We hope audiences connect with what we’ve tried to show,” Sunerah said.
The romance-drama also features Payel, Mahera Inaya Kamal, Fahad Riaz Khan, Alif Khan and Asikuzzaman Anik.
