Esteemed cultural organization Chhayanaut is set to hold its annual autumn celebration titled ‘Shoroth Praatey Arun Alo’ on Saturday, October 11, 2025 (26 Ashwin 1432), at the St Joseph Higher Secondary School premises in Dhaka.
In a press announcement made by Laisa Ahmad Lisa, General Secretary of Chhayanaut, the institution stated that the two-hour event will begin at 7:30 am and continue until 9:30 am, welcoming the crisp hues and melodies of the season with songs and performances by students from St Joseph Higher Secondary School, Nalanda High School, and Chhayanaut Sangeet Bidyayatan.
Traditionally, this autumn morning celebration is held outside Chhayanaut’s Dhanmondi venue, embracing the open-air ambience that reflects the spirit of Shoroth (Autumn), a season cherished in Bengali culture for its serene beauty, white clouds, and golden sunlight.
Like every year, the event will be open to all, inviting audiences to experience the harmony of music and nature that defines the changing season. The performances will highlight the essence of Shoroth (Autumn) through classical and folk-inspired renditions that celebrate renewal and tranquility.
Those unable to attend in person can enjoy ‘Shoroth Praatey Arun Alo’ via a live stream on Chhayanaut’s official Facebook page (facebook.com/chhayanaut1961) and YouTube channel (youtube.com/@chhayanautbd), ensuring that the warmth of this seasonal celebration reaches admirers of Bengali culture everywhere.
