The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has issued an 11-point directive to centre secretaries and officials ahead of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations, which are scheduled to begin nationwide on 21 April.
The directives, signed by the DSHE Director General (Additional Charge) Professor B M Abdul Hannan, mandate the installation of CCTV cameras in every examination room. To ensure the integrity of the process, the instructions include compulsory body checks to prevent cheating and the deployment of law enforcement personnel for security.
Under the new guidelines, each examination room must be equipped with clocks and ensure proper lighting, ventilation, and cleanliness. The use of mobile phones has been strictly restricted to centre secretaries only, and relevant instructions must be prominently displayed at the entrances of the halls.
The DSHE has further warned that any negligence in following these protocols could lead to strict legal action against the responsible staff.
