Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury is set to place the proposed national budget for the fiscal year 2026-27 in the Jatiya Sangsad tomorrow.

The upcoming budget will be the 55th national budget of Bangladesh.

Tajuddin Ahmed first presented the country’s budget in 1972 as finance minister of the post-independence government.

The FY27 budget will also mark the maiden budget of the incumbent finance minister after a landslide victory of the BNP in the parliamentary election held on February 12.
