Trading of the BRAC Bank Second Subordinated Bond began on the Alternative Trading Board (ATB) platform of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) following signing of a listing agreement between the bourse and BRAC Bank on Tuesday.
The agreement was signed at the DSE office in Dhaka in the presence of DSE Managing Director Nuzhat Anwar and BRAC Bank Managing Director and CEO Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, along with senior officials from both organisations.
Senior officials of lead arranger BRAC EPL Investments and trustee UCB Investment also attended the signing ceremony, according to a DSE press release.
The listing adds another fixed-income instrument to the DSE’s ATB platform, which now hosts eight bonds and one equity instrument including the newly listed subordinated bond.
The ATB platform was introduced to facilitate trading of alternative investment instruments and broaden Bangladesh’s capital market beyond conventional equity products.
