BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Thursday expressed confidence that the party will win the national election under the leadership of acting chairman Tarique Rahman.
Fakhrul made the remarks at a grand public reception in Purbachal, Dhaka, where a motorcade carried Tarique Rahman to the venue amid enthusiastic supporters.
“On 5 August, 2024, under Tarique Rahman’s leadership, we bid farewell to fascism. We have navigated difficult paths under his guidance, and in 2026, we will achieve victory under his leadership,” Fakhrul said, addressing the crowd.
Tarique Rahman later appeared on the stage to a warm welcome, with supporters chanting slogans across the 300-feet platform and surrounding areas. He acknowledged the cheers with hand gestures, reciprocating the love and goodwill of party activists.
