The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecast temporary gusty or squally winds at 45–60 km/h with rain or thundershowers in Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar between 5am and 1pm Saturday.
Inland river ports in these zones have been advised to hoist cautionary signal No.1, the BMD said in its latest bulletin.
It further said light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds are likely at many places at a few places in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka and Sylhet.
Moderately heavy to heavy falls may occur in parts of Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram.
Day and night temperatures are expected to rise slightly across the country.
