The 38th National Age-Based Swimming and Diving Championship, organised by the Bangladesh Swimming Federation, concluded on 14 July 2026 at the National Swimming Complex in Mirpur, Dhaka, said in a press release. The four-day event, held from 11 to 14 July, featured 20 swimming events on the final day, during which eight new national records were set.
BKSP topped the medal table with 66 gold, 58 silver and 55 bronze medals. Nikli Swimming Club of Kishoreganj finished second with 14 gold, 10 silver and 10 bronze medals, while Meghna Mohona Swimming Club claimed third place with 11 gold, 5 silver and 12 bronze medals.
In the boys’ 15–17 age group, Abdul Azim secured 11 gold and 2 silver medals while setting seven records, earning the title of best male swimmer. In the girls’ 13–14 age group, Fatiha Mahtab Maysha won 10 gold and 1 silver medal along with four records, being named best female swimmer.
In diving, Sayedul Islam of BKSP won a gold medal in the boys’ division, earning best male diver honours. Arpa Das won three gold medals and set a new national record in the girls’ division, earning best female diver recognition.
The awards ceremony and closing event began at 4:00pm, with Bangladesh Swimming Federation President and Navy Chief Admiral M Nazmul Hasan OSP, NPP, NDC, NCC, PSC distributing prizes to the winners. Swimmers who set new national records received a cash prize of 5,000 taka each.
The championship highlighted emerging talent in Bangladesh’s youth swimming and diving programmes and reinforced BKSP’s continued dominance in the national aquatic sports arena.
