BCB removed a list of cricketers from the BPL auction list before the event. The board decided to leave out Anamul Haque Bijoy, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, and Alauddin Babu, some of the mentionable individuals from the list. Bijoy and Mosaddek played for the national team, and their omission has already created discussion among fans.

Earlier, BCB announced that any player linked with fixing in the last BPL season would not be part of the final auction list. A day before the auction, on 29 November, the board published the updated list. It clearly showed that Bijoy, Mosaddek, and Alauddin Babu were not included. All three were placed in Category C, but their names were removed during the final screening.

In this same category, BCB added Aliss Al Islam. His exclusion from the earlier draft list had drawn strong criticism. The return of the mystery spinner to the list now puts an end to that debate, at least for the moment.

In the last BPL season, Bijoy played for Durbar Rajshahi, while Mosaddek and Alauddin represented Dhaka Capitals. Their removal from the auction list adds another layer to the board’s strict stance as the tournament prepares for a fresh season.
