Bangladesh General Insurance Company PLC (BGIC) celebrated New Year 2026 and the 103rd birth anniversary of M A Samad, the pioneer of Bangladesh’s insurance industry and founder of BGIC on 1 January at the company’s head office.
The programme recalled M A Samad’s contributions to the insurance sector, as well as his deeds and ideals.
BGIC Chairman Towhid Samad attended the event as the chief guest, while Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Ahmed Saifuddin Chowdhury chaired the programme, according to a press release.
During the event, the chairman encouraged all concerned to give wholehearted efforts to sustain BGIC’s growth in the coming days.
Officers and employees of the company were present at the ceremony.
