The Bangladesh Football Federation began the “BFF National Trial 2026 (Women’s)” residential camp on Saturday at the Riya Gope Women’s Sports Complex in Dhaka.
The programme is being held under FIFA’s Talent Development Scheme. BFF is managing the event as part of its plan to build a stronger future for women’s football in Bangladesh.
The camp will continue for 13 days.
A total of 70 under-15 female footballers are taking part in the residential programme. BFF football scouts selected these players from BFF STAR-listed academies across the country through an initial screening process.
The camp is designed to find and develop young talent from the grassroots.
During the programme, players will receive training and close evaluation from coaches and scouts. Their skills, fitness and overall potential will be monitored throughout the camp.
BFF hopes this process will help create the next generation of national women footballers.
The initiative is part of FIFA’s wider effort to improve youth football development around the world through its Talent Development Scheme.
For Bangladesh, it is another important move to strengthen women’s football from the youth level.
Women’s football in Bangladesh has grown strongly in recent years. BFF now wants to build on that progress by creating a deeper talent pool for the future.
Through this national trial, the federation aims to discover new players and give them a pathway to higher-level football. The camp is expected to play a key role in shaping the future of women’s football in the country.
