The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) says its finances remain stable and all operations are running normally.
The board issued the statement after former BCB director Lokman Hossain Bhuiyan said that the board was “breaking its FDRs and spending the money.” His remark quickly spread in different media reports.
BCB said all financial activities are carried out within the board’s control structure. It said the board runs its work through commercial deals, cricket events and proper financial management.
The board also said it continues to receive revenue from different sources. Because of this, its financial operations remain normal.
BCB added that it has enough resources to manage all financial matters. The board also requested everyone to check facts before publishing or sharing such information.
