In Narayanganj’s Fatullah, miscreants have stabbed to death the husband of Baul artiste Sonia Akter.
Police recovered the body of Shumon Khalifa from the roadside beside an abandoned house in the Narsingpur area of Fatullahon Monday morning.
The deceased’s wife, Baul artiste Sonia Akter, stated that she and Suman had gone to the Panchabati area on Sunday night to perform. Later, Suman had gone outside while others were performing and did not return.
After much searching throughout the night, she learnt of her husband’s death in the morning. Subsequently, she went to the spot and identified her husband’s body.
Additional Police Superintendent (A-Circle) Hasinuzzaman informed that after recovering the deceased’s body and conducting an autopsy, it has been sent to the Narayanganj General Hospital morgue. Multiple police teams are working to unravel the mystery of the murder and identify and arrest those involved.
