Women’s football in Bangladesh marked a new chapter as Glow & Lovely joined hands with the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) as the official Training and Growth Partner of the Bangladesh Women’s National Football Team.
The partnership was formally announced at a signing ceremony held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Dhaka, reads a press release.
Representatives from the BFF, senior officials of Unilever Bangladesh, and members of the women’s national team, including Umehla Marma, Afeida Khandaker Pranti and Yearzan Begum, were present at the event.
Under the agreement, Glow & Lovely will be associated with the Bangladesh Women’s National Football Team’s training and growth journey for the next two years. The partnership will support personal development training for the players of the national women’s team.
Glow & Lovely, one of the country’s leading skincare brands, said its commitment to women’s advancement has long been at the core of the brand. Through initiatives in both urban and rural communities, the brand has worked to create opportunities for women, enabling many young individuals to pursue careers and entrepreneurship.
As part of the partnership, the Glow & Lovely logo will appear on official practice and training-related team assets, including training kits and selected BFF-controlled communication platforms.
The Bangladesh Women’s National Football Team recently won the SAFF Championship in both 2022 and 2024 and also secured qualification for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 through the qualifiers.

Describing the partnership as a significant milestone, Tabith Awal, president of the Bangladesh Football Federation said, “This partnership with Glow & Lovely is highly significant in terms of brand association and recognising women’s talent. At the same time, women’s football is emerging as a strong ambassador for Bangladesh, as the sport is currently playing a vital role in representing the country’s women on the global stage.”
Fahad Karim, vice president of the Bangladesh Football Federation said the agreement would provide a major boost for women’s football and player development.

Their support in an important area like Training & Growth Development is truly encouraging. I believe this partnership will inspire not only the current players, but also future generations of footballers,” he said.
Thanking Glow & Lovely for its support, SAFF-winning Bangladesh Under-16 Women’s Team goalkeeper Yearzan Begum said, “As our training requires us to spend long hours under the sun, it feels great to have a brand like Glow & Lovely standing beside us. We hope to bring home the SAFF Championship trophy once again with their support.”
Midfielder Umehla Marma also expressed her excitement about the partnership. “We are truly happy to have Glow & Lovely by our side. We hope they will continue supporting us in the future as well,” she said.
At the signing ceremony, national women’s football team captain Afeida Khandaker Pranti said, “This is the first partnership of such scale for our team, and I would like to thank Glow & Lovely for their support sincerely. We now have the opportunity to secure a hat-trick title at the upcoming SAFF Championship, and we will strive to make the most of this partnership in achieving that goal.”
Officials from Unilever Bangladesh said Glow & Lovely would also support training, growth and development initiatives aimed at contributing to the continued progress of women’s football in Bangladesh.
