Bangladesh women’s national kabaddi team made a strong start in the Asian Beach Games. They beat Thailand women’s national kabaddi team by 51-34 in their opening match in Sanya.
Bangladesh are in Group B with Thailand, Chinese Taipei women’s national kabaddi team and Nepal women’s national kabaddi team. They took control early in the match.
The team in red and green led 26-16 at the break. They showed good skill in both attack and defence.
After the break, Bangladesh stayed in control. They kept scoring points and did not let Thailand come back. In the end, they secured a 17-point win.
This win will give them confidence before the next match. Bangladesh will face Nepal on Friday.
They will play their final group match against Chinese Taipei on Saturday. The top two teams from the group will move to the semifinals.
Group A has India women’s national kabaddi team, Sri Lanka women’s national kabaddi team and Syria women’s national kabaddi team.
