Bangladesh Under-17 Women’s National Football Team began their UAE tour with an encouraging 2–0 victory over Syria in a friendly match held on Tuesday night.
The young Tigresses dominated much of the game, showing discipline and composure in their first outing ahead of the AFC U-17 Women’s Championship 2026 Qualifiers. Bangladesh took a 1–0 lead in the first half and sealed the result with another goal after the break, maintaining control for most of the contest.
The win marked a confident start for the squad, who arrived in the United Arab Emirates on 5 October to play two preparatory matches before heading to Jordan for the qualifying campaign. The tour aims to sharpen their form and strengthen team chemistry before they face tougher opposition in Amman.
Following their stay in Dubai, the team is scheduled to travel to Amman on 10 October 2025, where they will continue final preparations for the AFC U-17 Women’s Championship Qualifiers. The victory over Syria will give the players a much-needed morale boost as they build momentum towards the regional competition.
