Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of Russia Konstantin Kosachev have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Bangladesh and Russia.
The pledge came during a meeting in Moscow on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
The two leaders exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and explored ways to enhance bilateral cooperation across various sectors. They emphasised the importance of sustained engagement to advance the partnership between the two nations.
Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir attended the meeting.
Khalilur Rahman is on a three-day official visit to Russia at the invitation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. During the visit, he is meeting senior Russian officials to discuss bilateral relations and regional and international issues of shared concern.
