Atif Aslam, an enduring symbol of youthful exuberance, is set to return to Dhaka on December 13 with “X Force Presents Atif Aslam at Main Stage Show.” The concert will be staged at a modern outdoor arena between the 100 Feet and 300 Feet areas, chosen for accessibility and enhanced security.
However, the build-up has been disrupted by misinformation across social platforms, with rumours claiming that the singer is not coming. Organisers say the confusion stems from the temporary withholding of the venue’s name for security reasons, which some have exploited to spread doubt.
They clarified that all official approvals, procedures and security preparations are complete, and that safety for the audience, artist and crew remains the highest priority. The organisers insist that no ambiguity exists about Atif’s participation in the event.
Atif Aslam himself dispelled the rumours by sharing the concert poster on his verified Facebook page on Wednesday. He confirmed he is flying to Dhaka specifically for this performance, a declaration that immediately reignited fan anticipation.
Risalat, spokesperson for Main Stage Inc., said the event is being organised lawfully and transparently in coordination with all relevant authorities. He urged the public not to believe or circulate any rumour or misinformation regarding the show.
To ensure ticket security, sales are being conducted exclusively through Chologhuri.com, with no resellers or alternative platforms authorised. Each ticket features a unique QR code to guarantee authenticity and prevent fraud.
The concert will also feature leading Bangladeshi bands and artists, expanding the programme into a multi-act festival, even though the line-up is yet to be revealed. Organisers say they aim to channel the enthusiasm, unity and positive energy of the country’s youth.
They described the event as a tribute to the courageous generation of the July movement, whose spirit they hope to honour and amplify. A portion of the proceeds will support fighters and families of the movement through PUSAB (Private University Students Alliance of Bangladesh).
One of the most popular singers in the subcontinent, Atif Aslam’s long engagement with Bangladeshi audiences is reflected in his concert history. Past appearances include Dhanmondi and Dhaka Club in 2006, the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in 2008, and multiple major shows since.
His subsequent performances ranged from the 2010 Atif Aslam in Nokia Playground and the 2013 BPL opening ceremony to the 2016 ATN Bangla Atif Aslam Night. In 2024, he returned for the Let’s Vibe Art & Music Festival and Magical Night 2.0 at Army Stadium.
