The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said around one hundred Bangladeshi officials and football players on official visit to Nepal are currently stranded in Kathmandu.

The ministry disclosed the information in a statement on Tuesday night.

“While the exact number of Bangladeshi tourists currently in Nepal remains unclear, the Embassy of Bangladesh in Kathmandu has received calls from hundreds of individuals through its hotline services, who got stuck in Nepal,” said the statement.

The ministry also said the stranded Bangladeshis would be able to return once flights are resumed. Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu is coordinating in this regard, it added.
