Popular Indian-Bengali singer-songwriter Anupam Roy is set to perform in Dhaka on June 26 at the United Convention Centre as part of a live concert titled ‘One True Sound with Anupam Roy’, according to organisers and a press statement issued by Triple Time Communications.

The concert marks another appearance in Bangladesh for the Kolkata-based musician, who has built a strong following among Dhaka audiences over the years. Organisers have said ticket sales for the event have not yet begun, but will be announced shortly. The same organisation previously brought him to Dhaka in 2023 for the concert ‘Magical Night’.

Anupam Roy is widely known in both Kolkata and Bangladesh for his work as a singer, songwriter and composer. He rose to prominence with songs from the 2010 film ‘Autograph’, directed by Srijit Mukherji, including ‘Amake Amar Moto Thakte Dao’ and ‘Bhebe Thakar Gaan’, which brought him widespread critical and popular attention.

He later earned recognition as a lyricist, winning the National Film Award in India in 2016 for the song ‘Tumi Jake Bhalobaso’. In 2015, he made his Bollywood debut as a music director with the film ‘Piku’.

The upcoming Dhaka concert continues his regular performances in the city, where he has previously appeared multiple times to strong audience response.
