AKIJ Cement brought together 82 of its top-performing retailers from across Bangladesh at its annual business conference in Bangkok, reaffirming its focus on strengthening partnerships with its nationwide distribution network.
The conference, held recently at a hotel in the Thai capital under the theme “Bonds of Friendship,” was organised by AKIJ Cement, a concern of industrial conglomerate AKIJ Resource, to recognise the contribution of its leading retailers, the company said in a press release.
Addressing the event, Asadul Haque Sufyani, Cluster Chief Executive Officer of AKIJ Building Solutions, said the company’s growth had been driven by the dedication, trust and continued cooperation of its retail partners.
“AKIJ Cement’s position today has been made possible by the tireless dedication, trust and cooperation of our retailers. We place the highest value on this relationship and remain committed to moving forward together. We believe that by harnessing the strength of our retailer network, AKIJ Cement will continue to build an even stronger presence in the country’s construction industry in the years ahead,” he said.
Towfique Hasan, Chief Business Development Officer of AKIJ Resource, said the company viewed strong relationships as the foundation of sustainable business growth.

The conference was also attended by Mustaq Ahmed, Cluster Chief Financial Officer of AKIJ Building Materials, and Subrata Kumar Singha, Head of Marketing at AKIJ Cement.
