Mohammad Abdul Majid, a renowned education enthusiast, social worker, and media personality from Dinajpur, is critically ill and currently undergoing treatment at Dinajpur Medical College Hospital.
Majid, the owner of Messrs Prithibi Book Stall, Treasurer of the Labor Welfare Federation’s Dinajpur district branch, and publisher and editor of the weekly Ajker Dinajpur newspaper, was admitted to the hospital after suddenly falling seriously ill on the morning of 18 October 2025.
He is receiving treatment in the 507 Neurology Department on the fifth floor of the hospital, with specialist doctors closely monitoring his condition. Family sources have confirmed that his condition remains critical.
Majid’s Messrs Prithibi Book Stall is a well-known establishment among book lovers in the Dinajpur region. His significant contributions to the welfare of working-class people, through his role in the Labor Welfare Federation, have also earned him recognition.
Since the news of his illness, educators, journalists, businesspeople, political leaders, social organization heads, and the public have expressed their wishes for his speedy recovery.
His family and well-wishers are praying to Almighty Allah for his swift recovery.
