“I think that people who are still referring to all AI-generated content as AI slop are probably lazy luddites”, says Jeanine Writer, the former executive of Wondery. She has now started a platform, Inception Point AI. It is designed to accompany podcasters with hosts and turn them into influencers across social media, literature and more.
Hosting a celebrity on a podcast breaks the wallet. But Inception AI has taken care of it by creating multiple personas who will act as guests (and probably a host) so that you don’t have to do anything.
“Nearly half the people on the planet will be replaced with AI in the future and for this, the company allows people to come to life”, said Wright who previously worked at Wondery.
The cost of production per episode is $1 or less (depending on the length and complexity). This means that the company will make a profit even if 20 people listen to a single episode.
Inception Point AI already has more than 5,000 shows across their own ‘Quiet Please Podcast’ and produces around 3,000 episodes per week.
William Corbin, the CTO and co-founder of Inception Point AI, started with the concept of using AI in order to create podcasts and to put less pressure on people as a whole. The first topic they dealt with was the weather and other light hearted topics started taking off rapidly.
The company then started experimenting with short videos and creating social media content targeting AI personalities. With their initial success, Wright now hopes that thousands of such influencers will be created with this platform. He hopes tomorrow’s biggest podcast star may never need a microphone, just a subscription.
