The Bangladesh Football Federation and the Asian Football Confederation completed the opening day of strategic meetings in Dhaka on Wednesday, starting a key phase of discussions focused on the future growth of football in Bangladesh.

The day began at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka, where BFF President Tabith Awal, Executive Committee members and General Secretary welcomed the AFC delegation. The opening session centered on the purpose of the AFC visit and explored ways to strengthen cooperation for the continued development of football in the country.

Later, meetings shifted to BFF House, where multiple BFF departments presented detailed reports on major operational sectors. These included governance and decision making, league structure, commercial planning, sponsorship, marketing, media activities, broadcast production, club licensing and other core departments linked to league management.

BFF officials used the sessions to share updates, data and departmental progress, underlining the federation’s ongoing work to improve professional football systems across Bangladesh.

The final session featured discussions with the Professional League Management Committee. Talks focused on governance, league strategy, operational challenges, decision making and BFF’s long term football vision.

The first day ended with positive engagement and valuable exchanges between both sides. BFF and AFC are set to continue discussions in the coming sessions as they work toward stronger football development plans for Bangladesh.
