Acting President Hafiz Uddin Ahmad began discharging his duties at Bangabhaban, marking his first official working day since assuming office.
He arrived at Bangabhaban where a decorated mounted contingent of the President Guard Regiment (PGR) welcomed him at Main Gate‑2 around 11:15am on Tuesday.
He was then escorted to the venue for the guard of honour. A smart team of the PGR presented the acting president with a guard of honour.
After the ceremony, the president’s Military Secretary Major General ASM Bahauddin, Public Division Secretary Khan Md Nurul Amin, Press Secretary Md Sarwar Alam, and Assistant Military Secretary Brigadier General Mohammad Raisul Islam greeted him with flowers at the Octagon of Bangabhaban.
Later, the acting president went to his office and exchanged greetings with senior officials working there. At that time, the military secretary and the public division secretary briefed him on various administrative and official matters of Bangabhaban.
