Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Detective Branch (DB) Uttara unit recovered an abandoned homemade one-shot gun from the Airport Police Station area on Sunday night.
The weapon was found around 10:15pm near the Kawla rail line under the Airport police jurisdiction.
Sources from DB – Uttara said the gun was recovered during an operation based on a tip-off about suspicious activity in the area. The firearm was left abandoned at the scene.
Police added that legal action is underway in connection with the incident.
