LankaBangla Securities hosted a pioneering Artificial Intelligence (AI) training workshop for capital market professionals at United International University’s (UIU) Innovation Hub on October 3-4.
Titled ‘AI Essentials for Capital Market Professionals,’ the two-day program focused on strengthening risk management and strategic decision-making in the capital market, with 30 officials from LankaBangla Securities PLC taking part.
The workshop was jointly organized by the Institute of Research, Innovation, Incubation, and Commercialization (IRIC) at UIU and the AI Forum Bangladesh.
The main objective was to enhance AI skills in financial analysis, risk management, trade execution, and decision-making for market professionals, the company said in a press release.
Dr Khondaker Abdullah Al Mamun, a renowned AI expert and Director of UIU’s MScSE program, led the training. Participants worked on real-world problem-solving scenarios, deepening their practical knowledge of AI.
Organizers expressed hope that such initiatives will foster an innovative culture in Bangladesh’s capital markets, bridging the gap between education and industry. The training further established LankaBangla Securities as a leader in technological advancements within the sector, the release concluded.
