For the first time, Dhaka will experience the energy of Pakistan’s hip-hop revolution. Talha Anjum and Talha Yunus, better known as the trailblazing duo ‘Young Stunners’, are set to perform in the capital this October, marking a major moment for cross-border music exchange in South Asia.

Organised by Rishka Connect and Dhaka Broadcast, the concert is being planned for the third week of October, with October 17 tentatively set as the date. According to Rishka Connect CEO Tauseef Islam, discussions are also underway to add another Pakistani sensation, Hasan Raheem, alongside a strong lineup of local bands and musicians.

Known for pioneering Urdu rap in Pakistan, Anjum and Yunus have been inseparable collaborators since their school days. Their breakout track Burger-e-Karachi (2013) was a cultural moment, sparking a new wave of South Asian hip-hop. Since then, hits like Maila Majnu and Laam Say Chaura have made them household names.

While they rose to fame as a duo, both rappers have since built successful solo careers. Anjum, in particular, has seen unprecedented success.

His 2023 album ‘Open Letter’ earned two Lux Style Award nominations and in 2024, his follow-up album ‘My Terrible Mind’ propelled him to the top of Spotify’s most-streamed Pakistani artists, surpassing legends like Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Yunus, meanwhile, secured his place in the top five.

Their music has already travelled across digital platforms, but their Dhaka show will be the first time Bangladeshi fans hear the Young Stunners legacy live.
