BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has returned home from the hospital on Wednesday afternoon.
He was admitted to the United Hospital early Wednesday after falling ill shortly after returning to the country following eye treatment in Thailand.
Earlier, Fakhrul returned to Dhaka from Thailand on Monday evening. Despite his recent medical procedure, he attended a meeting with party leaders at the Chairperson’s Gulshan office, which lasted until nearly 11:30pm.
After returning to his residence, the leader began to feel unwell. Upon learning of his condition, BNP Standing Committee member and physician, Professor Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, took him to United Hospital.
