In response to their recent T20I series defeat against Bangladesh, Pakistan have turned to experience, recalling fast bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Hasan Ali for the upcoming white-ball tour of the West Indies. The tour includes three T20 Internationals in the USA and three One Day Internationals in Trinidad and Tobago, starting July 31.

T20I Squad Rebuild

Shaheen Afridi returns to the T20I setup for the first time since March, having struggled on the New Zealand tour earlier this year, where he claimed just two wickets in four matches at a costly average of 66.50 and an economy rate of 10.23. He was subsequently omitted from both T20I series against Bangladesh.

Salman Ali Agha continues as captain in the shortest format. Faheem Ashraf retains his place after an impressive outing against Bangladesh, while pacers Salman Mirza, Ahmed Daniyal, and Abbas Afridi have been excluded from the squad.

T20I Series Fixtures (Lauderhill, Florida):

  • 1st T20I – Wednesday, July 31

  • 2nd T20I – Friday, August 2

  • 3rd T20I – Saturday, August 3

All matches will be played at the Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium in the United States.

ODI Squad Bolstered by Senior Returns

For the ODI leg of the tour, Pakistan have named a full-strength squad. Mohammad Rizwan takes over the captaincy, with Babar Azam making his return to the 50-over format.

Uncapped batter Hasan Nawaz has earned his first ODI call-up, offering a fresh option in a team that otherwise boasts substantial international experience.

ODI Series Fixtures (Trinidad & Tobago):

  • 1st ODI – Thursday, August 8

  • 2nd ODI – Saturday, August 10

  • 3rd ODI – Monday, August 12

All matches are scheduled at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.
