The 30th US Trade Show 2026 was inaugurated on Thursday at InterContinental Dhaka to explore new opportunities for trade, investment and economic cooperation between Bangladesh and the United States.
Organised jointly by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (AmCham) and the US Embassy in Dhaka, the three-day event runs until 7 November, showcasing American products, services and innovations to strengthen business partnerships, said a press release.
Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad inaugurated the trade show as chief guest. Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Abdul Awal Mintoo attended as special guest. US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T Christensen attended as guest of honour, alongside AmCham Bangladesh President Syed Mohammad Kamal.
Hafiz Uddin Ahmad said platforms such as the US Trade Show create valuable opportunities to strengthen the partnership and encourage greater engagement between businesses of both countries. Abdul Awal Mintoo noted that American businesses can bring advanced technologies, expertise and investment, particularly in areas supporting industrial efficiency and environmental sustainability.
Brent T Christensen said, “The United States values its strong commercial relationship with Bangladesh, and the U.S. Trade Show reflects the growing opportunities for businesses in both countries.”
The event features a series of seminars focusing on key economic and business priorities, including energy security, healthcare and medical technology, women’s leadership, outbound investment, reciprocal trade, and the ICT and digital economy.
