Gas supply to the national grid will drop by 320 million cubic feet per day due to emergency maintenance work at Summit’s LNG terminal.

The regasification operations of the terminal, situated in Moheshkhali, Cox’s Bazar, will remain shut from 8am on 4 November until 4pm on 7 November.

Consequently, low gas pressure may prevail across the country during this period. Petrobangla disclosed this information in a press release on Sunday.

During the maintenance of Summit’s LNG terminal, this figure will come down to 600 million cubic feet, representing a supply reduction of approximately 35 per cent.

This may cause temporary inconvenience in gas usage for consumers in residential, industrial, and other sectors. Petrobangla has expressed regret to consumers for this temporary inconvenience.
