Prime Bank reported a 15 per cent rise in consolidated earnings for the July–September quarter of 2026, while operating cash flow more than doubled over the first nine months of the year, supported by higher deposits and cash interest receipts.
The private sector commercial lender’s consolidated earnings per share (EPS) increased to Tk2.07 in the third quarter from Tk1.80 a year earlier, according to unaudited financial statements approved by its board last week.
For January–September, consolidated EPS rose 8.9 per cent to Tk5.62 from Tk5.16, indicating that earnings growth accelerated in the third quarter compared with the nine-month average.
The bank’s standalone performance also improved. Third-quarter EPS increased 16 per cent to Tk2.03 from Tk1.75, while nine-month EPS rose 10.7 per cent to Tk5.58 from Tk5.04.
Cash flow rose more sharply than earnings over the nine-month period.
Consolidated net operating cash flow per share surged 107.6 per cent to Tk19.66 from Tk9.47 a year earlier. On a standalone basis, the figure rose 95.5 per cent to Tk18.44 from Tk9.43.
Prime Bank attributed the improvement to increased deposits and higher interest receipts in cash.
Consolidated net asset value per share increased 11.1 per cent to Tk41.09 from Tk36.97, while standalone net asset value per share rose 10.9 per cent to Tk41 from Tk36.96.
The results reflect stronger earnings in both the bank’s core operations and its consolidated business, which includes subsidiaries.
Prime Bank shares closed 1.67 per cent lower at Tk29.4 on the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Thursday.
