Four couples, four relationships and a web of emotions come together in Shihab Shaheen’s latest web film, ‘Cafe Umbrella’, which premiered exclusively on Channel i’s OTT platform iScreen on October 29.

Presented by Lux and produced by Impress Telefilm, the film follows four parallel love stories, exploring affection, misunderstandings, emotional struggles and the complexities of relationships. The separate narratives gradually converge as the story unfolds.

The project also marks the acting debut of three finalists of Lux Superstar 2025 — Bidushi Barnita, Nazah Nawar and Amina Islam. They share the screen with Tawsif Mahbub, Partha Sheikh and Arefin Zilani, respectively.

The fourth couple is portrayed by Saidur Rahman Pavel and Sanjida Tasnim, while Saberi Alam and Shirin Alam appear in significant roles.

Written and directed by Shaheen, ‘Cafe Umbrella’ also gave its newcomers a special acting workshop before filming began, helping them prepare for their first screen performances.
