Audiences will have to wait longer for ‘Shobdohin Jontrona’ (Silent Agony), a feature film exploring adolescent health, family relationships and psychological struggles. Its makers have postponed the planned mid-October release to allow more time for improvements.

ZaaenaTI Production said the delay would help the team refine scenes and enhance the film’s visual quality. The new release date will be announced later. The production house also confirmed that the project would reach cinemas as a full-length feature film.

Directed by Md Akter Hossain, the film stars Amaan Reza as Aryan, Thrina Islam as Maya, Tahsan Bin Rafique as adult Sayan, Mouri Mahadi as Rima, Rebeca Rauf as Nadia and Farzana Chobi as a doctor. The cast also includes Boroda Mithu, Azom Khan, Shashi Afroza, Lalshi and several child artistes.

The film addresses sensitive subjects such as adolescent health, teenage pregnancy, timely medical intervention and counselling. It also highlights the importance of parental support, open communication and age-appropriate reproductive health education.
