The world of Jumanji is about to turn upside down as its dangers escape the video game and enter reality in the upcoming film ‘Jumanji: Open World’.
According to Pink Villa, the newly released trailer reunites Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan for what is billed as the franchise’s final adventure.
Directed by Jake Kasdan, the film reverses the familiar storyline of the previous instalments. This time, the game breaks free from its console, bringing its creatures and chaos into the real world and creating an entirely new challenge for the characters.
Johnson returns as Dr Smolder Bravestone, alongside Hart as Mouse Finbar, Black as Professor Shelly Oberon and Gillan as Ruby Roundhouse.
Nick Jonas, Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, Ser’Darius Blain, Rhys Darby and Danny DeVito also feature in the cast.
The film follows ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ (2017) and ‘Jumanji: The Next Level’ (2019). Kasdan returns as director and co-wrote the screenplay with Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg.
‘Jumanji: Open World’ is scheduled to arrive in cinemas worldwide on 25 December 2026.
