Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has handed over former Bangladesh Air Force flight lieutenant KM Tahsif Souri’s business partner and friend, Shahriar Reza Dip, to the River Police.
Dwip was transferred to the police early Saturday.
An unnatural death case will be filed over the incident as Tahsif’s family is not interested in pursuing the matter, PBI sources confirmed.
PBI said it was verifying Dwip’s statements and examining whether Tahsif had been murdered.
Tahsif went missing after leaving his Uttara home on Tuesday night. River police recovered his body from the Turag near Rajabari Ghat in Uttarkhan on Wednesday afternoon.
