Musician Anusheh Anadil has rejected speculation that addiction prompted her to step away from major concerts and commercial performances, saying she remains capable of singing and chose a quieter lifestyle to prioritise her well-being.

In a video shared on social media, the singer addressed assumptions about her prolonged absence from the music scene, urging people not to judge her without knowing the facts.

“Don’t sit at a distance and judge me, assuming that I gave up music because of addiction or that I can no longer sing. I am still perfectly capable of singing. I sang just a little while ago for all these women,” she said.

Her health has also played a role in her reduced public appearances. In July, she revealed that she was gradually losing her hearing and had been diagnosed with tinnitus, a condition that causes persistent ringing or noise in the ears.

The musician said loud sounds had become difficult to tolerate and could cause pain in her ears. She initially used hearing aids on her doctor’s advice but found that the symptoms became more pronounced after she started wearing them, eventually deciding to stop.
