Actress Jaya Ahsan has praised fellow actor Mosharraf Karim, calling him a “magician” and expressing her desire to share the screen with him again.
The two acclaimed Bangladeshi performers have established successful careers at home and in West Bengal, but have rarely appeared together on screen.
Speaking on a recent podcast, Jaya expressed admiration for Mosharraf’s acting and said she hoped filmmakers would consider casting them together in future projects.
“Mosharraf Karim is a magician. But I have had very few opportunities to act directly with him. I hope directors will listen to what I am saying. I want to work with him, and surely he wants that too, but it has not happened,” she said.
Jaya also recalled their previous collaboration in a television drama, which continues to circulate on social media.
“We did a television drama together. I still see it circulating online and across social media. Mosharraf Karim is an exceptionally talented actor, and I like him very much,” she said.
The two actors appeared together in Eider Diary, a television drama aired during Eid-ul-Fitr in 2011.
Directed by Ishtiaque Ahmed Rumel, the production gained popularity among viewers and remains available on YouTube.
Even years after its broadcast, the drama continues to attract attention online, with viewers praising the performances of both actors.
Jaya’s remarks have renewed interest in the possibility of another collaboration between the two stars.
