Popular Tollywood actress Indrani Haldar has returned to television after a prolonged break, making a special appearance on Sun Bangla’s game show Lakh Takar Lakshmi Labh.
The actress, who won viewers’ hearts with her performances in popular television serials, had largely stayed away from acting following the success of Sreemoyee.
Health issues and weight gain reportedly contributed to her extended absence from the screen.
Now, Haldar has made a fresh appearance with a noticeably slimmer look, delighting fans who had been waiting to see her back on television.
She will feature in a special episode of Lakh Takar Lakshmi Labh, hosted by Payel De.
In a recently released promotional video, Haldar appears as Goddess Mahishasuramardini, bringing a festive atmosphere to the upcoming episode ahead of the Durga Puja season.
Her powerful, divine appearance has stirred nostalgia among fans, many of whom remember her memorable television roles. However, the channel has yet to announce the broadcast date of the special episode.
Despite her return to television, Haldar has made it clear that she has no plans to act in a daily serial at present. Instead, she is focusing on films and projects for OTT platforms.
The actress has also expressed interest in hosting non-fiction programmes and reality shows, suggesting that she may continue to appear on television outside scripted serials.
Lakh Takar Lakshmi Labh airs daily at 7pm on Sun Bangla. Actress Sudipta Chakraborty hosted its first two seasons, while Payel De is presenting the current season.
