Bangladesh U17 women will begin their AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers campaign against hosts Uzbekistan on Thursday, with head coach Saiful Bari Titu calling for a calm but energetic approach from his players.
The Group H match will kick off at 5:00 pm (BST). Bangladesh completed their fifth and final training session at the Uzbekistan Football Academy Training Centre in Tashkent on Wednesday.
All members of the squad are in good health and have adapted well to the weather conditions in Tashkent. Bangladesh will face a confident Uzbekistan side in their first match. The hosts have already made a positive start, making Thursday’s contest an important one for Titu’s team.
The Bangladesh coach wants his players to match that start while keeping their composure.
“We have to play with enthusiasm. Uzbekistan have started off well, and we have to start off well against them. It is very important. So we should go with a calm and enthusiastic approach,” Titu said.
The opening match will give Bangladesh an early chance to set the tone for their qualifying campaign. A positive result against the hosts would provide an important boost as they look to make their mark in Group H.
