Yo Yo Honey Singh has sought additional time to appear before Maharashtra Cyber after skipping a scheduled questioning session in connection with a complaint over alleged objectionable remarks at a concert, reports News 18.

The rapper and singer, whose real name is Hirdesh Singh, was summoned by Maharashtra Cyber to appear before the investigating officer on Monday. He did not turn up and has now requested more time. The case remains under investigation.

The complaint concerns remarks Honey Singh allegedly made during a performance, prompting authorities to seek his statement.

The rapper has faced similar controversy before. In May, the Delhi High Court asked him to file an affidavit in response to a petition by Hindu Shakti Dal over an allegedly objectionable song performed at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in 2025.

On 2 April, the court directed the Central Government to remove links to the song from social media and file-sharing platforms, describing it as obscene, vulgar and derogatory towards women.

The petitioners had argued that the song, released in 2006, remained accessible to children and should be taken down from online platforms.
