England produced their biggest win under Thomas Tuchel with a 7-0 victory over Croatia in the Nations League on Sunday.
Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka scored twice each in Rijeka as England claimed their second win in three group matches. Kane opened the scoring after just eight minutes. Jude Bellingham played him through and the England captain finished from inside the box.
Bellingham then made it 2-0 in the 21st minute. Anthony Gordon controlled Saka’s cross before sending the ball back into the area for the Real Madrid midfielder to score. Gordon added England’s third in the 39th minute. He met Jarell Quansah’s cross with a header from close range.
England were not finished in the first half. Bellingham created another chance just before the break and Saka finished from close range to make it 4-0.
Tuchel’s side continued to attack after half time. Kane scored his second in the 53rd minute after meeting Elliot Anderson’s cross. The goal took his England record to 89.
Saka then grabbed his second in the 68th minute. Kane provided the pass as Croatia’s defence struggled again. Substitute Morgan Rogers completed the scoring in the 87th minute. Bellingham set him up before Rogers went around goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic and found the net.
Bellingham finished the match with a goal and three assists as England dominated from start to finish. The match took place with only a limited crowd after Croatia were punished for previous crowd trouble. Around 6,000 local school children and 100 England supporters were allowed inside the stadium.
England will now turn their attention to their next Nations League match against Czech Republic at Wembley on Wednesday.
