opular 1990s film actor Omar Sani is frequently targeted by trolls on social media. However, the actor says he does not pay much attention to such comments.
Omar Sani said he has never done anything in his life that should make him a target of trolling. According to him, some people simply turn his actions and outspoken nature into material for online mockery.
“I have never done anything in my life that deserves trolling. Perhaps they create the trolling themselves from things I do. There are many useless people on social media who troll others,” he said.
The actor said his straightforward and outspoken personality is often behind such reactions.
“I am someone who likes to speak directly. Many people do not like that. Those who feel offended by what I say spread these things. So I do not pay attention to them,” he said.
Omar Sani also spoke about a watch he wears. He said social media users had claimed it was worth around Tk29 lakh, while the actual price was only Tk1,100.
He added that he has never flaunted his wealth or possessions. Even though he owns a Mercedes, he said he does not consider it something to boast about.
Asked whether he had ever deleted a social media post because of criticism, Sani said he had done so only once or twice and never posted anything intended to insult anyone.
He also observed that people who are not artistes often speak more on social media than artistes themselves.
