Lautaro Martinez scored twice as Inter Milan came back from two goals down to beat Napoli 3-2 in a Serie A thriller on Saturday.
The Inter captain scored his second goal in stoppage time to complete a dramatic comeback at San Siro.
The first half ended goalless despite chances at both ends. Federico Dimarco came closest for Inter when his free kick hit the crossbar just before the break.
Napoli then stunned the hosts with two goals in the opening eight minutes of the second half.
Matteo Politano opened the scoring in the 50th minute. Rasmus Hojlund doubled Napoli’s advantage three minutes later with a low shot from outside the box.
Inter needed a quick response and Lautaro provided it.
The Argentine striker pulled one back in the 56th minute. Dimarco provided the ball and Lautaro finished from close range to make it 2-1.
Inter increased the pressure as they searched for an equaliser.
Marcus Thuram, who came on at half time, twice hit the post before finally finding the net in the 82nd minute.
Carlos Augusto sent a cross into the box and Thuram headed it into the bottom corner to level the score at 2-2.
Napoli still had chances to regain the lead. Frank Anguissa came close in the 89th minute but sent his effort wide from close range.
Inter then completed the comeback in stoppage time.
Nicolo Barella forced Alex Meret into a save from distance, giving Inter a corner. Manuel Akanji got to the resulting delivery but could not finish.
The ball fell to Lautaro, who scored from close range in the 91st minute to make it 3-2.
Inter protected their lead through the remaining minutes to complete a memorable comeback.
Lautaro finished the night with two goals, including the winner, as Inter turned a 2-0 deficit into a 3-2 victory over Napoli.
