The teaser of Vvaan, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, is finally out, offering a glimpse into a mysterious world shaped by folklore, an eerie forest and supernatural forces, states NDTV.
The teaser wastes no time establishing the biggest rule of this world: “Suryast ke baad, Vvaan mein pravesh karna varjit hai.”
In other words, no one is allowed to enter Vvaan after sunset. But why is the forest forbidden after dark? And what happens once night falls? The teaser leaves those questions unanswered.
Sidharth plays a man who is drawn towards the mysterious forest despite the danger surrounding it.
What begins as a journey into a forbidden place soon appears to take a deeply personal turn.
The teaser also offers flashes of action and supernatural elements, hinting at possession, mysterious powers and a dangerous force lurking within the forest.
Rather than laying out its mythology, the makers have chosen to reveal the story in fragments, leaving viewers to piece together the mystery.
The teaser has already caught the attention of viewers online. One fan wrote, “Rooting for this,” while another praised the concept but noted that its execution would ultimately determine its impact.
Another viewer called it “Best movie of the year loading.”
Vvaan marks Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s first film together.
The cast also includes Maniesh Paul, Shweta Tiwari, Sunil Grover and Anup Soni.
Directed by Deepak Kumar Misra and produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa Kapoor, the film is backed by Balaji Telefilms. Vvaan is scheduled to release in theatres on 25 September.
